M's Makeup Case

Before I blog more on clothes and food, let's take a break with make-up! My love affair with Red Earth continues...

That's one of their limited new edition lip gloss which is a glittery brown finish. It just enhances the lips and for those with a fairer skin tone. Not to be used with brown blush! It is for days or nights when you have heavy eye makeup or a pink tone.

I used one of their nude lipgloss when I first came to playing with make-up. It was a very nude pink shimmery gloss under the same range with similar looking tube except it was a silver cap. I love that as it pales my lips enough to make my cheeks colour pop. And I don't use blusher.

Try it! They stay on for quite a bit and have a thick glossy finish.

I did say I would post this up. That's the Red Earth eyeshadow aptly named Cleopatra. I'm absolutely in love with this. Goes perfectly with my wardrobe. I bought it in Bangkok's Red Earth standalone shop in Siam Paragon (I think). The dark gold dust is gorgeous. Very rock chic and elegant.

And that's how it looks on. It really stays on and stains the eyelids properly. Perfect for me.

M's Makeup Case

I haven't been sleeping well for the past four nights now and am constantly living with a throbbing migraine. Worse thing is I have to also finish all the assignments which contribute to the headache. Well then, here's to light at the end of the tunnel come lunchtime on Saturday, 28th May!

Because I look like death each morning these days, I can only imagine how others would feel staring at me. I don't want them to have seen a ghost so early in the morning so it is my duty to actually put in some effort eh?

I bought this on the recommendation from my favourite Sasa SA in Plaza Singapura. I really have not much use for it but it is there in my makeup box for emergencies such as this. It is called Secret Potion: Illuminating Skin Fluid from Red Earth. Works sort of like foundation I guess but it is very light and you only ever need a dab for the whole face. I am such a makeup noob and I can't tell you anything much else. LOL.

Revlon blusher was bought earlier this year when I did my makeup under Revlon for the ball. The SA recommended a brown blusher for me but I really wanted something pink because I now the times when I actually use it will be emergencies again. This light pink is so light and almost neutral. However, that is what I want. Just slightly bring a touch of colour to an otherwise pale face.

Well, I am still hoping for good sleep one of these nights soon. I resent using makeup on a daily frequent basis, just not my belief. Hahaha and I can be lazy...

M's Makeup Case

Goodness, it has been a while since I said I would blog about this again. Sorry, I was just sidetracked. I am so not a makeup girl. I prefer using getting it professionally done when it's special events. Alas, you grow up and you head out. And sometimes, simple things need to be learnt. Let's talk about my eyeshadows. They are simple to apply and they change your look in an instant. These are what I have with me at the moment: Bobbi Brown palette of dark brown, light brown and nude; Red Earth; Clarins brown/pink/blue mini sample palette; Cyber Colours. Most of them are bought from Sasa in Singapore. I love Red Earth makeup. If I had to choose one to stick to for the rest of my life, I think it would have to be it. The range is comprehensive enough. Cycber Colours is a pretty cool brand too. I just got the black/glitter one for instant smoky look. And the pure silver glitter ones is PERFECT for night outs. I always carry it with me and my friends apply it on in the ladies whenever they meet me. Light up the eyes literally. Lol.

I use the Iced Brownie from Red Earth already. It is just brown with shimmer. So perfect for a dinner with friends and you really don't want to put too much effort in. It sure helps. I have not tried Cleopatra yet but I knew I had to buy it when I saw it. Gold. OK GOLD. I don't know how to pair it with just yet. Give me a moment...

So are you an eyeshadow kind of girl? What colours are your favourite? How do you like applying them? I find that using the little finger works.
