Mayy's Closet #94

So watching tv as usual. And really thinking about all the clothes I have in my wardrobe and ideas that I have about them. But never really worn them because I am afraid of ruining them. Pishtosh. I need to get out of that frame of mind and start living.

All those money spent and not worn? Hmmmm.

Anyways, this closet post is on the Terranova rock-chic top I got in Philippines. Rocker chic is really how I can describe it. Just look at the studs and chains. In black and silver no less. And heavy smokey eyeliner look. I paired it with the old-school skirt I had from Supre. I since left this skirt somewhere in France because Mum said my butt looked big in it. Yeah well, after all the pasta I ate in Italy, the bum would looked big in anything.

The studded shoulder pads and cut of the sleeveless top really makes abit more masculine. More oomph to the tough style.

I had on red lips and strong eyeliner going on in this outfit I wore in Florence with cuffed Volcom jeans. And of course my rockstar sunnies from Chanel. Lucky it was a sunny day during the one-day visit. I miss the city so much and I cannot believe my second time back had to only be a few hours.

And one last photo before I bid farewell to Firenze for the second time. Will be back my beloved city. On my mind everyday.

Shoestopper #58

Speaking of the year 2011, my shopping buys were quite...extensive? Did it break the bank, no not quite. But it certainly had me stumped in 2012 when I looked at my bulging closet.

Anyway, another good buy of the year goes to this cute little pair of embellished flats from Kmart. It certainly served me well for a year through the different weathers. Jazzing up any old outfits I had on. I eventually let it go this year in April, somewhere along Europe.

I love a little rock and roll in the daily life. Nothing too sugary sweet for me. And I more often than not, paired this with the green dress from the prior post. some eyeliner and a matching embellished black bag...

(I drift away to 2011's good memories)

Mayy's Closet #80

Taking a break from all the food, let's chat about clothes! Just one before I head off to bed. I am seriously knackered and have a long but hopefully good weekend ahead of me.

Just a short focus on the embellished sweater in the photos here. I paired it with jeans but Im sure a short jean skirt will do fine on a spring afternoon.

Worn it with wedges and cropped jeans for a sunday sesh with G and his colleagues in Fremantle's Little Creatures. I forgot my sunnies which was a bit silly especially a sunny day in Aussie.

I liked the slight oversized look and the v-neck on the back which I forgot to take photos of. Its all about the slight details. What I really liked is the colour combination between the tan/sand, gold and blue colours.

Miss my long locks, my hairdresser missed me so much and was too snap-happy with the scissors last Saturday... OKAY OKAY back to sweater.

This sweater proved its versatility once more when I managed to wear it for a day in uni, teaching and studying, and then meeting friends for a night out dinner and karaoke till 3am by adding a touch of blue eyeliner/eyeshadow. Pretty insane and I loved it all the more.

How do you like it? I think it is my little rare gem!

Shoestopper #49

Yes, back to shoe blogging! I have quite a few I havent taken photos of and upload here. My usb isnt even updated so I can blog about new shoes! Pffffft. Anyways, this is just as good.

Just in time for the summer season. Open-toed sandals and a little bit of glam.

I got this bright silver pair from Bangkok and was really comfortable. It goes with me on most holidays because of the soft cushion back and the comfortable middle straps.

While open-toed sandals can get quite flat and dusty after wearing for a whole day of shopping/sightseeing, this is no different. The difference was this pair doesnt allow the back to feel any pain, it gets you through the day comfy.

This pair came about during the period when gladiator sandals were all the rage. I hated that phase and never got myself one. I dont find them attractive. But when I saw this, its glam take on the gladiators definitely twisted my hand on this.

Honestly, its not a pair for life but I am glad to have it in my shoe collection.

Till my next shoe-stopping experience, Mayy xo

Mayy's Closet #59

Another day in uni but managed to somehow not get much done. Still so obsessed over selling my clothes. I need patience! Lol. Anyway, also spent three hours away at lunch. Pretty healthy but ruined it with a big slice of mudcake back at the pantry...

Here's a short closet post on a Future State halter top I wore only once thus far.

After about 3 years in my closet unworn, I wore this black embellished halter dress top with grey skinny jeans last year on a night out in Perth when my cousin came to town. Bought it when I was in JC during a GSS period in Wisma Atria. I brought it back to Singapore, hmmmmm. looking at it makes me miss it. It is such an understated elegant piece with a satin finish.

Would get a close-up one of these days because there are layered details above the embellished bits. However, it is an unforgiving piece. Must be in shape to wear it. Doesn't hide bugles properly so it is not for a night where you know you are going out for a big dinner! And definitely no beer when wearing this top!
