mayyn meal - Halo Espresso

I am really missing have brunches, I mostly go out by myself these days but I am saving for something so eating out in Perth puts a dent very easily into anybody's budget.

Anyhow! I can still blog about them.

Always known about this place but never really felt inspired to try it. Until I went there with Mum and sis to Gusto but it was closed. So Halo was the next best thing for hungry people in South Perth.

Relatively quiet since we were there very very early morning.

Coffee was quite decent and had to be since they are voted number 4 in Perth right?

I ordered the Breakfast burrito which was pretty filling and yummy. So healthy and delicious.

Sis had the mushrooms and bacon on toast. It wasn't really impressive at all unfortunately. It looks bad even in the photos. Just haphazardly thrown together.

Overall, it really isn't somewhere I would be in a hurry to return to.

Mayy's Closet - Egypt Legs

Enough food for abit, I am getting really hungry...

Have an OOTD of one of my Black Milk leggings.

Egypt legs is a sought after piece and to own it in my early BM days was a lucky thing!

I wore it for a meetup with the sharkies and matched it with my Moolala heels.

I had a bit of fun with the camera for this one....The colours in the leggings really made wearing coloured shoes easy! I have worn it with red or black or studded boots. I mean, it may look outrageous but somehow it all works.

Wore it with a Supre cutout top and black and gold accessories. Egpytian inspired of course! What else right?

yes, a case of leggings are pants!

Continued to fall in love with BM...

mayyn meal - Pacific Rim Mix Plate

Worked up a big appetite after the Boxing Day sales at Garden City. Chanel and I tracked down Pacific Rim Cafe in Applecross which may look slightly dodgy...

BUT this is definitely one case of don't judge the book by its cover.

We could not really decide but some of the dishes were unavailable.

it looked pretty simple and cute inside and I really would not expect good food to be found here.

Alas, food was served and it quite blew my mind. The creamy terragon sauce was such a different taste. Hawaiian food, definitely a first for me!

The chicken was moist and juicy. Simple fare executed very well. I give this place 7.5/10 and will definitely find my way there really soon!

mayyn meal - Christmas Eve and Christmas 2013 at Crown Perth

It was the first time I wasn't going home for Christmas or New Year's so I did feel abit sad. I thought I would cheer myself up with some good food right?

Spent Christmas dinner with Chanel at Modo Mio. We didn't make any reservations so it was a very late one... so darn hungry!

A cocktail to begin at the bar while waiting.

Amazing entree of foiegras and that savoury creme brulee.

The pasta was okay, not the best but also not the kind of homecooked Italian fare either.

The risotto was the star of the evening and I thought it was a 6/10 kind of risotto.

Overall, Modo Mio used to be so much better... WHAT HAPPENED! Was it because of a busy night? Lucky I was too hungry to be picky.

Christmas Eve was a solitary affair. So I treated myself to a nice long late lunch at Nobu with their Chirashi don. Expensive but filling.

The star of the entire dish was their fluffy Tamago. Like a cheesecake... but egg cake. I don't know how they do it but it was addictive. I could have had just that and be really happy.

Because it was Christmas season, i ordered the dessert with gingerbread in it.

I like the icecream and the flowling chocolate encased in more chocolate. What a great end to my meal!

mayyn meal - Santi's in Nedlands

Santi's is on the corner of Hampden Road and Monash Avenue, not too far from UWA and perfect for me to drop in whenever I need some good food.

The place was very friendly and inviting.

I felt spoilt for choice and took awhile to choose.

Finally ordered the baked eggs with a side of beans. It came out looking very cute like this. So rustic!

Very well seasoned and great for breakfast or lunch. The beans were not too bad and the buttered toast a genius touch. I would score this place 6.5/10. Definitely a place to keep in mind and convenient for me, with good service. I also like that they have healthy options available.

mayyn meal - Atrium Buffet for Breakfast

During the holiday seasons last year, Atrium Buffet in Crown Perth had a $25 breakfast special during the weekdays. It sounded like amazing value for money and I managed to book in 3 visits with different groups of people!

Here are some photos I took...

I supposed I made my money worth but poor tummy. The food was actually above average with an omelette station and poached eggs etc. So great variety!

Don't everything look so good for a big breakfast in the morning?
