Mayy's Closet #70

Before I take you on a culinary experience, here's a little blog post on a dress I owned. I have since sold it but I only wore it for the shortest time possible at Anna's 21st dinner party. It was such a blustery rainy day.

The colourful busy prints really attracted me to it and I knew I had to have it when I saw it at Target. The little bow detail at the side also made all the difference.

The material was thick and smooth to touch. I liked the heart-shaped boob details and the length was just right. I paired it with glitter stilettos and let the busy prints speak for themselves. Nothing too complicated and not too much accessories are necessary for such dresses. Kinda wished I didnt sell it but really, I have to. The size of my closet is too much and I know I will only ever wear it again once at most.

Such a hoarder? Sighs. But hey, cant say I regret buying this. It is beautiful!

Mayy's Closet #68

Now that we have shoes sorted... let's talk clothes. Well maybe one before we talk food again because its lunch time soon!!!

I have since sold this dress but sometimes think back and wish I didnt...despite knowing it is the right choice.

The simple black toga bodycon dress with gold studs. It really is one of my favourites and the material is amazing. I got it in Singapore Bugis Street and was custom made by the shop so only had limited number of pieces. I got the last one!

I supposed I got to wear it once at least and pulled off the whole look like I intended to with my bangs and eye makeup! Its simple and the colour combinations already sorted. Elegant in its own way and understated in its glamour. I cant rave enough about it!

Silly me didnt take too many photos that night! But hey! good times dont always need to be captured by film. I'll miss you precious dress, and I hope your new owner treats you real well! Getting very regretful at this point....

Mayy's Closet #8

It's been a pretty accomplished day since I woke up early but my brain feels like it's been quite fried. Looking at clothes and myself (I AM ONLY KIDDING) should help me alleviate that headache before I head out for a nice dinner with some girlfriends tonight.

Here's a very recent outfit I don, only just last Saturday after the black-tie dinner. Yes, a second outfit change. I am vain, so shoot me.

This short little number is from Supre. YES, AGAIN. Wait till I start blogging on that new online loot (when I wear it...). You will really want to start shopping at Supre, if you haven't already had that urge.

I bought it last year on the day (Dec 2010) I was to head back to Singapore. Anna and I went down in the morning and I managed to do some speed shopping. I dare you to speed shop with me! This one set me back AUD10. I don't usually have purple in my wardrobe and thought I should expand on that collection. Now I have a few, thanks to Supre but I find myself not able to rock all shades of purple. My skin tone, I guess.

This dress is made out of a shimmery glitter dark purple stretchy material. The detailing in the top front of the dress may help me look like I have bigger boobs, I think I don't even have to wear a bra which will be a lot more comfortable. The back of the dress is a little sheer so no coloured undies allowed, stick to black or nudies. Girls, ALWAYS check the material and how much it shows, especially under light. The hem of the dress is also tighter so I don't think it is as flattering as it should have been especially for girls with heavy bottoms like me. I really only bought it because I thought the purple was something I didn't have and also it was really easy to throw on and head out.

I have to say the white stilettos weren't mine, I just borrowed it from Li Jia for the photo. The silver clutch was Anna's but we did a bag swap with my bag from Witchery. It is from Portman's. I felt a nice big silver bangle would be nice here. Oh wells, another day perhaps. And I am bringing this home to Singapore. It is one of the more conservative ones I can wear out partying there, I think.
