It doesn't help that I am falling for you.
It doesn't help that you don't seem to feel the same way.
Tell me how I can help myself.
Tell me that you are not worth sacrificing the years of building walls.

Just really liked the look of the Hugo Boss boutique here in Perth. So corporate, clean and classy. I am always partial to certain brands and this one is no exception. Boss Woman is also a really good brand for some hot sexy corporate stilettos. If a man knows his Hugo Boss from Boss Orange from Zegna from Emporio Armani, you are definitely not far away in winning a fashion girl's heart.

I remembered shopping for Sam R.'s 21st birthday gift alone last year here in Perth. I knew where I was going to go. Unfortunately I could not find something Sam R. would like in Hugo Boss, so I ended up in Emporio Armani. I left the EA boutique with 3 gifts in the biggest paper bag ever. A belt for Daddy, a teeshirt for a Christmas gift and a polo for Sam R. It never goes wrong. I absolutely love shopping and I love shopping for people more. The experience made all the more better with really good service provided by helpful attentive sales assistants.

One of the autumn trends is leopard prints. To me, the trick to rocking such a strong print is having it in small doses. And letting it shine by pairing it with black or muted gold. I love the prints no doubt, even before it became a trend. One of the leopard prints I owned come in the form of a fierce pair of stilettos. Let me share this with you right now. This brandless pair was bought in a random Hong Kong alleyway (owned by a middle aged man) near a huge H&M. I only wore it once ever to work in Deloitte Singapore. Haven't worn it at all since then because it is in Singapore and I love it so much I can't bear to do so. The red soles is a trademark of Louboutins but since I can't afford my own Loubs, let me fake it till I make it.

How fierce! The shiny purple insoles somehow matches perfectly with the big cat prints and lux suede black. I like that it doesn't come across as too bold or stripper like as some platform shoes are prone to be. Even Mum encouraged me to get it!

They are also very very comfortable. Look at that sexy curved arch. The shoes are cut quite wonderfully and of a high quality. All from an alleyway stall and at less than SGD20 (I cannot remember for sure how much it cost me at HKD). If I could wear it to work and climb the stairs up and down getting information out of the clients, I dare say I could last a night out in them.

Fierce deluxe! What say you? For sure, a shoe stopper this one!

Mayy's Closet #26

Still in a very happy mood, I shall blog about one of my favourite dresses for a night out, dinner or partying. I got this flower printed bodycon dress from Ally in Harbourtown for the main reason that Topshop had a similar one. It was a whole lot cheaper at AUD30 (I think). That's the first time I wore it out. Dinner at Matsuri Japanese Restaurant in Perth City. I paired it with my amazing Sportsgirl Shoestopper #10 and my pink clutch from Witchery which I got as gift from Adeline and Marcus. I have since swapped my clutch with Anna for her silver Portsman one. Keeping accessories simple here because of the prints. That's a clearer view of the dress. I wore it out again for an epic night out in Metros where I met quite a few friends, and then the hot and slightly drunk boys from uni! Hahaha, so cute. I love tying my hair to one side for this dress so I can show the back off. Besides with the flower prints means I can go for a sweeter look.

That's one of the back shots I can show you. Love the design and the puffed sleeves. There's another back shot but let's just say I wouldn't want to post that up! Hahaha. That's one of my hot girlfriends here in Perth, Anna rocking a new dress from Forever New.

So in the mood to be partying! Here's a dress I bought last summer from City Beach in Harbourtown at AUD29. I think the brand is Moolala. Wore it out once during a Saturday night out in Perth. The size is not perfect for me but I refused to leave it in the shops. The shoulders were alittle too wide. BUT it has got to come home with me.

I love the mesh sides and mesh deep V plunging neckline. The back ends in a very low V bare back. I totally forgot to take a photo of it! But perhaps when I wear it again, I will. I think sis and mum saw the photo and think it to be a little too revealing. Er no, the bits are all covered and the dress is long enough too. I had a real good night in it.

I also don't have the orangey coral colour in my wardrobe. Something different! I paired it with the sequinned Rubi Shoestopper #4 and a silver clutch from Portsman. Instead of leaving my hair down like I always do, I put it up in a cheerleader high ponytail. Pile on the black rubber bracelets. Eyeliner, mascara and silver glitter on the eyes. We are all set now!

With the sun rise brings new beginnings of another day. For the first time in the longest time possible, even with all the deadlines looming, I am at peace with myself today. I negated my sleep debt. I somehow wrote and wrote and wrote all the bad feelings away. Even if it is about mundane things here or non mundane things lost somewhere in cyber space. I don't regret the reflection post but I am slightly sorry that I have shown weakness. After all, have you known me to be a prissy girl? No. I've learnt to build walls, every post here is like a wall. The castle knows no boundaries. And life is like a neverending rollercoaster ride.

My inner happiness is apparently shown clearly on my face (said Jeremy). I noticed the bounce in my walk which I had lost. Jack's advice reaffirmed my love for writing. I have proven it yesterday. I wrote the pain away. But then again, what pain when it's merely me breaking another heart? I should be used to it already. No pain, no gain. Although, I hope karma doesn't bite me in the back and let me experience real ache in the future. Hahaha. I am happy with how everything is going. The heavens have listened to my pleas over the summer and guide me in the right direction, giving me the courage to make the logical decision. Besides, Sam R. and Kath have my back when we had our catch up (kisses to you both).

Toxic is not meant to be in anybody's life. So have the courage to say you want out. So what if a man cries? Especially if he deserves it. Don't be afraid to be the girl who makes them cry. Just get used to it. I guarantee you won't be stopping at one. ;)

Till my coffee beans, Mayy xoxo

I always wanted to buy one box just for the heck of it. And I finally did. This one for Stevey baby because he was real nice to accompany me bright and early to my cardiac scan. You could fold the box into a leaping frog. Stevey baby did it while I had my hotcakes. So funny. It really leaps! For AUD1, yes that cheap, there were alot of cookies in there and in McDonald's characters shapes too! Super cute. Loves it. They are pretty yummy too. Like butter cookies I suppose. Definitely something for a kid, age wise or at heart.

M's Food Find #36

The group of us went out for lunch after class on Friday as usual. Thankfully, it was a short class and we were all starving. Headed to an Indonesian restaurant in Victoria Park, Batavia Corner Restaurant since it was at the corner of the strip. Fuss-free menu, quite a few people in the place. I guess it does show the food must be pretty good? I heard from the boys the Ayam Bakar Bali is good. For me, the sambal sounds tempting. Anything hot is fine by me.

I don't think they will be pleased at having this shot posted but I am taking that chance that they don't read the blog. After all, I actually don't know who reads this anyway. Those are the two jolly jokers, Steven on the left, Jeremy on the right. And the counter where you order your food behind them.

Food takes quite a while to be served to you. Maybe there's only one cook out the back. I ordered some yellow rice combination but I can't tell you how it tasted. Because I didn't end up having it! Haha. For AUD9.90, it looked pretty worth it. I had the ayam penget set which was good I supposed. The dish was served piping hot. Not something I would go for over and over again, but I know where to go now if I suddenly have the craving.

That's the only food photo I took because frankly, I was too hungry to care anymore when it was my turn. Haha, nah I forgot abt taking a photo... Overall, you should go try it if you are running out of places to go in Perth.

I know I am blogging non-stop. But hey, if you were the lucky few who saw that rare fb wall post then good for you. If not, too bad! For now, let's turn our attention to my current favourite car of the past year and still reigning.
The Audi R8.
I love Audis, I spent my teenage years with them. As an impressionable youth, it stuck. I love the round curvy looks that Audi maintains in all its models. I hate boxy looking cars. No fast sharp lines. I guess that is why while I love the engines of Ferrari and Lambo, their looks don't much fly by me.

That's me after dinner at Oosh in Dempsey Hill, Singapore. That belongs to the owner. I love the white R8. Definitely the only colour I would want it in, just like how an Audi A1 is supposed to be candy apple red and not any other colour. I love how the engine is shown off in the back transparent glass. It is sex on wheels.

It's also like how an Audi A6 should always be grape/dark wine coloured for me. I must admit, the rides haven't been too smooth of late. I love that quattro a few years back. That one had the best grip on the road and the engine ran so smoothly. Listen to my heart purr just thinking about it.

I saw a black one yesterday at Claremont parked outside Country Road. Yummy.

Last year, I spotted a black one in King Street, parked outside Louis Vuitton. Then the owner, yummy daddy walked out carrying the tiniest of tiny paper bags in that SIGNATURE robin egg blue. Yes girls, collective sigh. The daddy was buying mummy Tiffany's. He opened the front bonnet of the car and gently set it in before he locked the car and went on his way. If you think that is NOT cute enough, he was tagged along by the cutest baby boy. Two hotties, one adult and one mini me. Collective squeals I hear? You are allowed to. Even the gays, I hear you.
