Mayy's Closet #63

Been staring down my clothes for sale page on fb so much so that I haven't been blogging about clothes. Alittle guilty that I neglect this but seriously, my mental wellbeing isn't at its peak. ANYWAY, the body's and brain's refusal to do any form of work for these couple of days have brought me to recover my backlog posts.

This outfit today focuses on the skirt I got from Supre and paired with two simple tops. A short summer skirt but perfect for brightening wintery blues.

I got this pink and white tartan/checkered like skirt from Supre last year and only got round to wearing them this year in June. I have had a soft spot of tartan and am still looking for the perfect red/blue checkered shirt. The skirt is of a thick sort of rough material that you can feel the different lines weaving through the pattern. Now, dont be silly. I know it is short, but I wore stockings and boots for winter.

Paired with my dark denimblue ruffled shouldered long sleeve top from Cotton On Body, it is sort of a more relaxed fit given how the top is meant for sleeping. But hey! Just like how Peter Alexander thinks, no one said we can't go out in peejays. Especially cute ones.

Love the colour so much, has that painted feel to it.

And of course, a basic classic black turtleneck NEVER goes wrong with knee high suede black boots.

Here's a close up of the skirt, isn't it pretty?! It wasn't like a bargain on my part but I just wanted it!

So what do you think of the skirt and the outfits? Yay or nay? Perfect for a dinner date or an afternoon lunch date with the girls?

Mayy's Closet #48

A closet post before I bombard you with more food! This post's main focus is the bright coloured leggings I got from Cotton On. The pink and blue.

Still fairly new in Perth. The skirt with ruffled hem has since been gifted to my ex-housemate because she really liked it. The Roxy layered racerback is still with me but since it was too cold, I added a black turtleneck.

A really relaxed day to uni because it was crunch time I think. Paired with the Gorgio Armani oversized sweater and my classic adidas bag and sneakers.

The pink one with denim shorts and a simple black long sleeve top from Cotton On Body. See, some of their items can be worn out!

With a black tunic minidress from Bugis, layered with a black turtleneck again.

Or wear with flats instead of boots for a spring day.

And with my own-designed oversized hoodie sweater from my JC class and fur-trimmed boots. Yes, very colour coordinated the outfits here. Too Japanese/Asian/loud on hindsight BUT WHATEVS!

Mayy's Closet #47

Hey everyone, how was your Wednesday, mid-week? Gloomy over here and I spent my whole day in front of the telly watching Laguna Beach Season 1. SO motivated eh? Not. Anyway, time for some clothes posting...I will raid my closet on Friday or over the weekend just to see what I don't need no more.

However, the focus of this post will definitely be kept with me forever if I have my way. It is officially Winter here in Perth as well, so let's post more warm outfits eh?

You probably can't see it as clear here but the focus is the black oversized knitted sweater with a cowl neckline from Supre. I got it way back during my first winter here and loved it ever since. This is shot in a quiet part of uni. I always feel quite blessed that I study in such a vast and beautiful campus. Anyway, yes the sweater. It is long enough to wear leggings with and warm enough to wear it on its own or just a tanktop in it. Here, I wore a tanktop in the same shade as my electic blue leggings from Cotton On. Yes, I do realised I quite like the black eyeliner and rock look. Just not too extreme.

Less rock chick, injected a bit more sweet here with the grey beret from Dotti and pink checkered/tartan scarf from Cotton On Body. If it is warmer, lose the boots and wear some pointed flats. Black, blue, sequins, this look is easy to mix and match!

I would say this is my first time wearing the sweater. With white denim shorts and bright blue leggings from Cotton On. Yes, a look I admit is not much for Australia, more Asian/Jap/Taiwan/HK. You can flatten the cowl neckline and wear it more like an off-shoulder.

If it is not yet winter, perhaps autumn or nearing spring, pair it with a short denim skirt and thigh-high/knee length boots.

Or a recent photo of my outfit, with grey skinny jeans and white heels and just wearing the sweater as it is. No layers of tank tops. Gotta wear the cowl neckline strategically though.

It is just a really simple and chic piece that I can wear in so many ways and dress to so many themes. Something for long term. Don't we all love that?
