Shoestopper #36

I mentioned this pair of adidas sports pumps recently in Closet #48. I haven't really worn it out before even though I did take a photo with it. I really wanted to but it was raining and this pair is white if you haven't noticed. White shoes and rain sure do NOT go together.

So well, it still looks pristine new right now. Anyway, I bought this at Harbourtown a while ago together with my ballerinq-esque pair in Shoestopper #18. Again, I got it at a steal though I can't quite remember the price...

I really like the subtle yellow and green lines and undertone when you wear it. Because at first look you know it is white, but even on the feet, the yellow and green really shines together. And they are comfortable. I really bought them because of the specific green colour which I adore as well as with the intention to use them as a vacation pair since it will go with jeans and skirts too. I like that the little strap across is so feminine and classic.

Alas, this idea has not come into fruition yet...

Apart from the colours and comfort, the little yellow original/classic adidas leaf logo pin is too cute and adorable! I did say I was a sucker for cute things. I stayed at the shop for ages trying to decide which one I should get. I tried them on, walked around, stared at it, asked for advice, Anna even left me to go off on her own somewhere. I ended up buying both. WELL, what can you say?

So yeah, I do have to start wearing it out and showing it off... Oh alright. Are you liking it as much as I do?

Mayy's Closet #48

A closet post before I bombard you with more food! This post's main focus is the bright coloured leggings I got from Cotton On. The pink and blue.

Still fairly new in Perth. The skirt with ruffled hem has since been gifted to my ex-housemate because she really liked it. The Roxy layered racerback is still with me but since it was too cold, I added a black turtleneck.

A really relaxed day to uni because it was crunch time I think. Paired with the Gorgio Armani oversized sweater and my classic adidas bag and sneakers.

The pink one with denim shorts and a simple black long sleeve top from Cotton On Body. See, some of their items can be worn out!

With a black tunic minidress from Bugis, layered with a black turtleneck again.

Or wear with flats instead of boots for a spring day.

And with my own-designed oversized hoodie sweater from my JC class and fur-trimmed boots. Yes, very colour coordinated the outfits here. Too Japanese/Asian/loud on hindsight BUT WHATEVS!

Completely Random

I was waiting for my class to start on the past Monday and noticed this guy sitting there rocking a pair of very very in-your-face sneakers. Winged adidas sneakers. Wow. It sure takes some courage and certain level of 'style' to pull this off.

Shoestopper #18

In keeping with the spring theme (even though it is Autumn here), I thought it will be nice to do a shoe post on one of my favourite pairs. It has been 2 years ago since I fell in love with it and today I still am. It is an ongoing relationship for which I see no end in sight.

I remembered the first one I saw in Paragon, Singapore. It was black and gold, or there is the white and gold version. I would have gladly bought both if I weren't so young then. So when I finally convinced Mum to get a pair for me, adidas ran out of it... I was of course more than a little disappointed by then and the pair Mum got for me as a leaving gift to Perth was just not in the same league.

So to come to Perth, and go shopping in Harbourtown two months later, I found the Amyrina flats in the adidas outlet. Squeals happily! In a totally different colours from the two I've seen too!

There she is! Isnt she a beauty? I think she is. The colours are my favourites, so girly and young. It's just not the easiest to match clothes with but I love it. That it is comfortable even though when I first wore it, I bled pretty badly due to friction.

It just brightens up my day just looking at it, wearing it. I hardly wear it because I admit you need time for it. And because I don't want to dirty it so quickly, I often pull it out and put it back in again. HEH. I should learn to let go and not be so overly protective. Not worry so much.

Amyrina is just gorgeous. The colours, the lightness of the shoes, the slight shimmer, the soft soles. I don't know what else I can say. If I came across the other two versions, I will not hesitate to buy both. They are for keeps. But remember Mayy, your shoe size is 7, not 8. That is my mistake and a slight regret for this pair. Which is probably why I also don't wear it so often...sighs.

BUT IT IS STILL LOVE.
