I needed a good dinner out and abit of celebration on Thursday night after my presentation that afternoon. So it was perfect when Jodie suggested going out to the Terrace Hotel on St, Georges Terrace for dinner.
Made a reservation the day before and couldn't wait to eat somewhere nice for a change
sorry for the blurry photo.
it was a cold night so it was nice to come into the warm place with such decadent fitout and decor.
seated in the corner by the fireplace which isnt really working but still a nice cosy setting.
we had the scallops with char-siew duck for entree.
Scallops were cooked perfectly and the char siew duck was very tender.
The char siew flavour is actually quite good too.
Jodie had the sirloin steak
I had the Lamb Rump done three ways and watercress - lamb was cooked to my liking, just pink in the middle and abit raw still. the lamb spring roll is also really good. I wiped it out.
and still had room for dessert...
Chose Baked Alaska for the evening.
The blackcurrant tartness cuts through the sweet soft meringue and balances well. Something different from my usual dessert preferences, abit influenced by Masterchef I would say.

We had a one-for-one main course voucher and it came up to 50 for three course dinner for me. even if we shared the entree. it was a good meal all in all.
Its always expensive eating out in Perth, and paying abit more to get a better quality presentation and food is sometimes neccessary and worth it.
Probably won't return anytime soon but still recommend it for a nice couple dinner out or with business mates.
