Mayy's Closet #93

I have been wanting to blog this for really long but I am also one heck of a procrastinator.

A heart-shaped knit.

Butterfly sleeves are kinda my obsession. Always thought pale pink/nude was too girly for me. But I loved this knitted top from Love Bonito too much.

Though i have since gifted the top to a good friend Joy.

Handy for winter... A white cami with brown Espirit pants with uggs and beanie. My lazydays...

But I kinda wished I could have pulled it off without a cami underneath it. But it really is impossible to do so.

And I brought it along with me to my Europe trip this year and like all wintery days, a black turtleneck underneath it to keep me warmer. And I like how the pink hearts play against it.

Mayy's Closet #79

When the weather becomes warmed but still remained a tad chill at times, outfit choices can be such a hassle because well, you want it to keep you cool and warm at the same time. A pretty tall order for anything really.

So when I had such a dilemma one day, I decided to go with this outfit.

Jeanskirt and stockings with a electric blue Dotti sweater. Seemingly simple and nothing too special about it... To be honest, while I love the colour and the design of the sweater, the material is pretty shitty and thin. Quite upsetting really but I will deal for the price of AUD9.95.

TA-DAH!
A cowl backless sweater always make the outfit cooler...literally. Like weather/temperature wise.

Im kinda afraid of wearing it too often because I would have to wash it more often and thus increasing the risk of it being too worn out. Sad and boohoo for bad quality clothes.

Mayy's Closet #76

Now when you see this outfit, you may think it looks familiar. I agree I do have something similar (especially colour-wise)in my closet, but why did I get it?! (besides the fact that I am such a hoarder).

Anyway, I got it because the first one in my closet is from Zara and I do love it to bits. Besides that, I wanted something comfortable and versatile from autumn to winter to spring!

The khaki green cowlneck knit dress is from Supre. While it is not made from the best material around, I wear it quite often because its quite comfy and the easiest thing on lazy days. With leggings, stockings, or on its own. With flats, booties, boots, stilettos. The possibilities are pretty much endless. Add a turtleneck beneath to keep warm, a scarf, a long necklace, a fedora hat, a slingbag, a holdall, a backpack...

I like it so much I went and got a second one, in black! Which I really like. I do have alot of blacks in my closet... Not only is it a cowl neckline, I can stretch the neckline further and have it as a drop-shoulder dress!

Mayy's Closet #64

Happy Tuesday everyone! How are you all doing? Just about 2 more hours to the end of corporate hours. For me, class will start at 530pm. My job, do enjoy it really. But haven't got round to prepping.

Meantime, I'm procrastinating on me research AGAIN. I managed to put it off the whole morning already. So let's do a closet post. Haven't done them in awhile so let's start with something fairly simple.

I got this slightly cropped black gold stripped knit sweater from Dotti in June and worn it out with the girls once. I originally thought it would only be suitable for the nighttime because of the gold bling-ness BUT it proved me wrong, it worked during the day too. Very comfortable and easy to throw on. And not boring at all, totally easy to jazz up the day's outfit.

With skinny jeans, over a black basic tank dress, maxi dress, boob tube. Throw on some heels for a glamour night out in winter or lace flats for a pretty rock look in the day.

So how are you liking it so far? It has actually been put up for sale on my page at a price I am willing to part with it for. After all, I hope my clothes will find its way to someone who will love them as much as I do.

Mayy's Closet #57

Winter is SUCH a lazy season. Perhaps it is also because I am on vacation mood. I just so need a break. Which is what I am giving myself this weekend. No parties, no dressing up. Just leggings and oversized sweaters and hoodies. If I could leave the house in bathrobe, I would. Sitting on my ass all day in front of the telly in my tubchair, ok LOSER. Whatever. So 'tis the season where no matter how many layers you wear, you still feel cold. So sometimes, I settle for just one since it makes no difference.

And here's one of my favourite winter outfits: an olive green drop-shoulder long knitted sweater from Zara and leggings.

I bought this (four/five) years ago before I even knew I would one day actually be faced with living in a country with four seasons. I bought it in Zara Macau or Hong Kong (I can't remember if it is even in anyone of the named countries) and brought it with me to Japan too. It is so comfortable and warm and chic in my opinion. It is timeless and and I can dress it however I want to. Though usually it is just with leggings and black boots and gold accessories.

It is good for a day out or even a night out. It is a little bodycon-like so I have to push myself to not overeat and have a tummy showing. Wouldn't be a good look here! There are always that few dresses or clothes items you will never give up. This is definitely one of them for me. I wouldn't know what to do if I one day have to retire it. I don't think I will though. It will just be reduced to home-wear at most. I am so glad I stuck to my guns and told my mother I wanted it no matter what. It didn't come cheap, that much I remember but thank god for Mum and Dad's more generous spirits when we go on holidays. There are just some things worth fighting for.
